VSG Members attend first in person workshop and site visit since 2019!

The Visitor Safety Group was delighted to meet back in person on September 7th & 8th for the first time since December 2019 for the ‘New Visitor Issues and Zoning’ Workshop. 37 delegates from across the UK and Ireland were in attendance at the workshop hosted by Natural Resources Wales in Anglesey, Wales.

The workshop explored visitor management during and post pandemic and took a practical look at how NRW have applied the VSG risk control spectrum to inform its approach to zoning (presented by GIS Mapping) across their entire estate. In addition, a site visit to Newborough Forest provided an opportunity to view and discuss some issues specific to the site and partake in wild swimming in Pilots Cove and a walk around Ynys Llanddyn Island.
